On Raksha Bandhan 2025, the holy town of Shirdi witnessed a sight that will be etched forever in the hearts of Sai devotees — a 30-foot-long, 35 kg, and 6-foot-wide Rakhi was lovingly offered at the sacred feet of Shri Sai Baba.
Crafted with devotion, precision, and artistry by renowned artist Dilip Diwakar Patrikar from Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, this magnificent Rakhi took just 15 days to complete. Its theme — Operation Sindoor — carried a deep symbolic meaning of courage, sacrifice, and protection, echoing the timeless essence of Raksha Bandhan.
The Rakhi was adorned with fiber ply, pearls, zari, and buti, making it not just a spiritual offering but also a masterpiece of traditional craftsmanship.
The auspicious ceremony began with the Shri Sai Baba Sansthan CEO, Shri Goraksh Gadilkar, and his wife, Mrs. Vandana Gadilkar, performing aarti and worship, joined by Temple Head Vishnu Thorat, priests, and hundreds of devotees from across the country.
