As the sacred festival of **Guru Purnima** approaches on **10th July 2025**, I find myself reflecting on the two greatest influences of my spiritual journey — **My Mother**, my first Guru, and **Shirdi ke Sai Baba**, the Sadguru whose teachings continue to illuminate my life.
From my earliest days, it was my mother who placed Sai Baba's image before me, narrating his divine leelas and the boundless compassion that flows from him. She taught me that the **Guru is the one who holds your hand and leads you through life's uncertainties toward light, peace, and wisdom**.
The **17th chapter of Shri Sai Satcharitra**, written by Hemadpant, speaks volumes about the importance of the Guru. It reminds us:
*"One should always listen to the best scriptures, follow the Guru’s teachings with faith, and remain vigilant towards one’s ultimate goal. The Guru's grace makes the path of salvation easier."*
For millions of Sai devotees worldwide, **Shri Sai Baba** is not just a Guru but a living source of divine energy. His simple, yet profound teachings emphasize love, patience, forgiveness, and unwavering faith.
🕉️ **The History of Guru Purnima in Shirdi:**
The roots of this festival go back to **Tatyasaheb Nulkar**, a true devotee who first performed Guru Pooja for Baba on Pournima. Initially, devotees hesitated, fearing Baba’s disapproval. But Baba’s gentle reminder to **Tatya Patil Kote**, "Is he the only one to worship me? What about you?" — was his divine consent for all to bow before their Guru with love.
Since then, **Guru Purnima is celebrated with great devotion in Shirdi**, a tradition that continues to this day.
🌿 **Guru Purnima 2025 Celebrations in Shirdi:**

**Why the Guru is Irreplaceable:**
The Guru is the living bridge between the seeker and the Divine. Only when we surrender completely, shedding ego and doubt, can the Guru shower us with the **ocean of knowledge, love, and liberation**.
*"The Guru is Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh, and the Supreme Soul."* – **Guru Gita**
Today, I bow my head with gratitude to my **Mother**, who first opened the door to devotion, and to **Sai Baba**, my eternal Guru, who continues to guide me from within.
